StartPage and Surf-for-Hits Programs
The lists below include the best of the start/surf-for-hits programs. Both of these are variants of the same idea - click to a site either by opening your browser (startpage), or
click to a site via a surf-bar off a 'third party' site (surf-for-hits). Most of the programs below are combinations of the both, ie.
you start out opening your browser to the third party page and from there you can continue to surf for hits.
Your site will get some number of
hits for every site you view (eg. 1 hit to your site for every 2 sites viewed). Most also have a 20 to 30 second timer, so you have to look
at the page you click to before you move on. And most also make some attempt to prevent cheating (timers don't run when page is minimized, different numbers or colors to click for the next page, etc.).
One word of warning -- make sure the page you submit loads quickly or you run the risk of surfers moving on before they see your site. This is especially true with the
short-timer programs like Hitpulse. You can rack up a lot of hits with these, just make sure they aren't getting wasted.
The lists below are divided into Startpage Only, and Start/Surf for Hits. The last list consists of programs which provide a
way to manage multiple of these types of programs and help generate additional traffic thru attracting more referrals. It may take a while, but in order
to get any amount of hits without spending all your time 'clicking', you need to get a few referrals for each the programs you decide to join.
