Free Banner Exchange Programs

While banner advertising currently doesn't get much respect - and certainly isn't getting the hype of the other newer programs - free banner exchange networks are a good deal. You place code for a banner display on your page, and in exchange your banner gets displayed on other members pages.

Click-thru rates on banners isn't tremendously high (unless you design a terrific banner - BannerMakerPro makes this easy), but getting your banner viewed does provide an easy method for getting your name in front of people, and is very effective in 'branding' your site. Most of the free banner exchanges will have a small 'ad' with the exchange name somewhere on the banner.
